Senior Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who has had experience delivering client facing IT solutions. We have many IT initiatives underway that are developing new "digital" solutions for our customers and are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of those projects. For this role, you will be engaged with our technical teams as well as the business and be responsible for the following:

• Orchestrating and leadingproject teams toward the successful execution of on time, on schedule, within scope and within budget moderately complex or larger sized projects.
• Successful application of project management tools and delivery methodology, APCO policies and project related constraints.
• Creating amoderately complex or larger sized project work schedule / plans and has managed project execution from the plan, start to finish.
• Forecasting resource needs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Maintains and mitigate risks.
• Create status reports using implementation methodology templates that are both clearly written and accurate for project team, leadership, and external project readers; which describe the project risks, issues and next steps.
• Accurately provide forecasts and manages multiple concurrent projects over the life of the projects.
• When needed, initiate and manage critical, difficult, or otherwise unwelcome conversations with the customer related to a project while maintaining the customer relationship.
• And regularly lead project status calls with both internal and with external partners, including detailed status reporting, and issue resolution discussion to mutual agreement.

• 5-8 years of enterprise project management experience in technical / software engagements.
• Strong technical background.
• Demonstrated experience from top tier consulting firm preferred.
• External customer-facing project management experience preferred.
• Project Management Professional Certification.
• Agile Project Management experience preferred.
• Excellent, effective communication skills, including:
  • verbal, written, listening and presentation skills.
  • ability to engage and successfully interact with the customer and project team at all levels.
• Consulting and customer/project team relationship-building skills.
