DescriptionSTAFF ACCOUNTANT - Investor Owned Real Estate CompanyA small, growing Investor Owned Real Estate company is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team due to recent growth and acquisitions. If you are a dedicated and ambitious Staff Accountant, then this is an excellent place for you to grow your career.Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Initiate monthly payments for debt service, owner distributions, etc.
Periodic utility reconciliations and billings.
Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and general ledger account analysis.
Analyze monthly financial statements and work with Property Managers to provide variance explanations when comparing actual to budget or historical results.
Monthly bank reconciliations for property operating accounts.
Assist Property Manager’s with yearly budget preparations
Annual Tax and Insurance reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports in accordance with owner deadlines and requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum of 3 years of accounting, preferred in a real estate environment.
Must be able to multi-task while achieving deadlines
Attention to detail and organized.
Confident verbal and written skills to be able to interact with clients and co-workers.
Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Previous experience with Entrata preferred.
