Vice President-Catastrophe OperationsRequisition ID:2019-7562Job Locations: :US-GA-NorcrossPosition Type:Regular Full-TimeCategory:ManagementBusiness Unit:Crawford Claims Solutions Excellence In Everything We TouchPosition SummaryThe VP, CAT Operations is an experienced professional who is responsible for the strategic and tactical direction as well as the operations and financial performance of the Catastrophe division.ResponsibilitiesStrategic planning and execution to enhance the profitability, productivity and efficiency of the division.Prepares the CAT Business Plan annually.Oversees and approves a dedicated workforce of temporary adjusters who are available for deployment at any time during a catastrophic event as well as staffing solutions for internal and external clients.Responsible for strategic deployment of adjusters in compliance with local, state and federal licensing requirements.Directs and designs training and certification classes to enhance the overall quality of the claims adjusters.Accountable for overall financial performance of the CAT operation.Evaluates operational performance against the plan.Directs the work planning and implementation processes for assigned clients.Manages the implementation of new or enhanced products and systems with the operation.Strengthen and build relationships with current and future CAT clients to obtain work orders.Promotes Crawford and Company - CAT through participation in professional associations, conferences and trade shows.Monitors and reviews accounts receivables and the billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of collections.Responsible for the direction and management of a centralized claims administration staff.Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.Participates in special projects as assigned or requested.RequirementsMinimum ten years of in-depth property, claims handling experience in a supervisory or branch manager role is preferred. Some experience handling catastrophe related services is a plus.Bachelor's degree is required.Must complete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational ServicesAdvanced knowledge of insurance coverages, insurance terminology and practices.Claims handling processes.Excellent organization ability and negotiation skills.Frequent interaction with Claims Services senior management, Catastrophe Services staff, Catastrophe adjusters and client claims personnel.About UsPeople taking care of people.
