WCEP is the working class empowerment project. Are you interested in working at a company where you help make the decisions? Where your pay is directly effected by the job you do? This is the WCEP. We are working to found a worker owned cooperative. Each worker will be paid on a percentage of each job done, with company shares given annually as cash or rolled into retirement. As company owners and shareholders each person will have equal votes on pay, company policy, what types of jobs we do, and how the company will invest its capital to grow in the future.
At this stage we are starting by organizing a construction group focused on painting and drywall. We are looking for a foreman and several workers to start out with.
The foreman should have experience with quality control, peer training, painting and drywall as well as carpentry. Be well versed in regulations and safe working conditions. Must have good grasp of contract estimates and bidding as well. You will be the main contact with the customer, overseeing the project crew from start to finish, assuring the work meets the standards of the company and the client. Owning a truck is a must.
Painters should have experience with painting, drywall, trim, finishing, and repairs.
