Work Shift: ALL SHIFT (United States of America)SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician positon requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including basic electricity fluid power mechanical systems pneumatic systems and manufacturing processes. The Maintenance Technician will perform machine and systems troubleshooting and repair assist engineering and plant staff with the specification installation and modification of integrated systems and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES: This position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues on assigned shift. Performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Lubricating rebuilding and replacing parts and responsible for cleaning machinery as related to maintenance. Must be able to read equipment manuals blueprints etc and perform basic math calculations. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must be willing to work in a production environment requiring safety glasses hair beard net hearing protection and other protective equipment provided by the Company. Must be willing to work in a hot environment with temperatures reaching up to 90 degrees. Must be willing to lift up to 50lbs. Responsibility authority for reporting quality and food safety noncompliance to authorized personnel with authority to initiate action. Perform additional tasks as needed to include but not limited to cross training on other machines and or in other areas. REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 years of maintenance work experience in a manufacturing facility having previously worked in electrical and mechanical fields or have equivalent technical school experience in those fields Responsibility authority for reporting quality and food safety noncompliance to authorized personnel with authority to initiate action.At Tyson, we are raising expectations for how much good people can do.
