Crisis Stabilization unit. Completing Assessments, Medication Education and Management, and Discharges. Assign job duties and supervises HST's in performance of their job duties. Makes rounds on the unit at beginning of shift, and throughout shift as needed. Initials individual's observation logs that are completed by the HST's every 2 hours per shift confirming that observations are being completed as ordered by the Physician. Reviews referrals and makes disposition within 1 hour. Updates BHL board as needed regarding waiting on labs etc. from ERs. Maintains adequate stock of medication in medication room and makes sure medication room and nurses station is clean and organized prior to the end of shift. Follows formulary for CSU. Provides medication education groups as scheduled. Implements any consumer precautions that may apply (i.e. suicide, Seizure, Diabetic, fall, etc.) and communicates these with the HST's, Performs venipuncture in a timely manner and documents per guidelines to ensure timely receipt of lab results. Completes AIMS assessment upon admission and within 1 hour of an initial dose of an antipsychotic medication. Administers PPD skin test upon admission. 36/hrs wk. 7p-7a. Position Requirements include, you must have a Valid Georgia Registered Nurse License, preferred but not required: NEW Graduates Encouraged to Apply, Prefer one to two years' experience working with Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Computer skills, Organizational and leadership skills, ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to pass intensive local and national criminal background investigations, and drug screening
