DescriptionAccountemps is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. This job required 8 hours of overtime on Saturday at time and a half. When the department is caught up we will shift back to a regular Monday-Friday work week. The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to make an indispensable contribution to the success of International Construction Company. Based out of the Roswell, Georgia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Major responsibilities
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Execute full-cycle A/P
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Requirements
Account reconciliation experience
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
