Ledgent Technology is actively looking for a Sr. Java Developer for a Permanent/Direct-Hire role with our client based out of Atlanta (North Fulton)!
Candidates MUST be based out of Atlanta, and okay working in a HYBRID working environment (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH).This Sr. Java Development position calls for an experienced, knowledgeable and talented engineer to work on the development of Solution Software for the Technologies organization. This role will work with other engineers to plan, design, develop, and maintain the enterprise software components for the Americas Technologies team.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain enterprise level, scalable solutions software using Java/J2EE and open source technologies
- Active involvement in the end-to-end SDLC, from requirement gathering till delivery
- Develop specifications including functional/non-functional requirements, detailed design, code, and test procedures as part of agile/iterative Solutions Software development team.
- Perform code reviews with the team to improve quality with established best practices and coding standards
- Identify technical debts and areas of improvements in the software product in collaboration with the Architects and other SMEs.
- Install and configure Application Server, such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science or a related degree
- Extensive software development experience (7+ years)
- Advanced level experience in development on Java EE & Open source technologies stack
- Hands-on experience in deployment and troubleshooting Application Servers, such as, Weblogic, WebSphere, Jboss.
- Hands-on experience in Enterprise Integration architecture, and different messaging framework, such as ActiveMQ, OracleAQ, Kafka
- Hands-on experience in unit tests framework, such as Junit/Mockito/Cucumber
- Experience in Microservices
- Experience in scripting languages such as Korn Shell, Python is a plus.
- Experience in modular software architecture, Micro services, messaging and SOA.
- Experience in using tools such as, Jira, Confluence/Wiki, TFS.
- Expertise in the implementation of software with multi-layer architecture using
- Business Layer (Java/J2EE, multi-threading, Spring, JPA, JDBC, Hibernate, Jquery, CXF, ActiveMQ) and API technologies (Web Services SOAP and REST, JMS, Microservices, XML/XSD)
- Database (Oracle/PostgreSQL)
- Web rich UI (Java, Javascript, Javascript libraries, Angular JS, GWT/GXT, Spring MVC, HTML5, DOJO, Jquery, JSO)
- Good understanding of the Security protocols, such as SSL, TLS, SSO/SAML.
- Well versed with the Unix/Linux commands.
- Expertise (hands-on) in Build tools (Ant, Maven), unit test frameworks (JUnit, Soap UI), performance analysis and application profiling (VisualVM, JProfiler), CI/CD (GIT/Gerrit, SVN, Jenkins).
- Should be a hands-on Agile practitioner
