Ledgent Technology in Atlanta is actively looking for a Sr. Windows Systems Engineer for a full-time (permanent) opportunity with our client in the north Atlanta (Roswell/Alpharetta) area!
Senior Windows Systems EngineerWe are only accepting candidates currely living in the metro Atlanta area, and we are unable to work with candidates requiring sponsorship from Employer or C2C. We are seeking an experienced technology professional to provide Windows systems administration, support and maintenance in a mixed Windows and Linux environment. The primary focus of this role is Windows server and desktop management. Administration of network equipment including Brocade/RuckBroadcom switches and Juniper and Cisco firewalls. Support of Linux operating systems, XenServer virtualization, SAN/NAS systems, and Nutanix will be required at times. Our Windows environment provides authentication (AD), DNS, and DHCP services to our entire Windows and Linux environment. Some of our Windows systems are virtualized on a XenServer platform, some are housed within AWS, and some are physical and reside in our data center. Additionally, this role requires administration of Office 365 (Exchange) and Microsoft EMS (Intune, Azure AD, MDM/MAM, DLP, AIP). This role requires working with software developers and business users to provide for their computing needs while maintaining security and adhering to established standards. This is a HIPAA compliant, SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and NIST CSF aligned environment. Adherence to these standards is required.Required Skills: Windows Server administration - Installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a Windows Server 2016/2019 and Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise environment. Ability to write PowerShell scripts preferred. Windows Desktop Management - Maintain local and remote desktop/laptop PC environment as well as AWS Workspaces for end-users, including security, data loss prevention, and business applications. Majority of end user systems are laptops utilizing docking stations and are currently remotely used. The primary computing environment for most end users is AWS Workspaces. Mobility management - Maintain mobile computing environment including company owned laptops as well as BYOD smartphones and tablets. Ensure security compliance and mitigate risks.Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent experience 5+ years experience systems administration 3+ years experience network administration Ability to handle heavy workloads with limited supervision. Assist in the development and maintenance of network communications. Help design and install internal and external networks. Assist with development and maintenance of all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoot network performance issues. Assist with maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
