Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant business curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years of relevant business or IT experience to include five (5) years in a leadership role. Must have strong business process knowledge of the relevant business area. A minimum of two (2) years experience leading professional employees. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience.

Position Purpose:

This is a direct management role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization for the ERP team. Responsible for functional workstream performance by ensuring deliverables are prioritized and delivered to agreed schedule and budget. This role is also responsible for budgeting, hiring / termination, employee development, employee reviews, and project management as required.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Engages stakeholders and technology users in identifying, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Determines goals, timelines, budgets, staffing requirements and allotment of applications resources.
  • Communicates performance expectations, salary administration, and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Delegates tasks and/or responsibilities to team members for action according to their level of experience and assigned accountability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
  • Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  • Works with programming resources (in house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specifications.
  • Assists in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOW) describing project scope, deliverables, assumptions, and estimated costs. Ensures the SOW meets the expectations of the business.
  • Assists with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans, and skills required. to develop and implement applications.
  • Additional Functions:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g. listening, coaching, facilitating, tact/diplomacy, employee relations, development, motivation, team building). .
  • Experience with effectively communicating to senior business management. .
  • Consults with business unit management and reviews proposals to determine goals, timeline, budget, procedures, staffing requirements and assignment of resources. .
  • Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects or other activities. .
  • Excellent presentation design and delivery skills. .
  • Ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings. .
  • A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer. .
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Other Requirements:
  • Proven ability to lead teams through complex solution design and delivery process.
  • Specific and in-depth expertise in one or more complex enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, PLM).
