IT Project Manager II in GAC Savannah

This role is for someone who has creative approach to problem-solving. - Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies is required.
- Experience with enterprise-level application development projects is required.
- Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, Advanced Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner are required
- Solid understanding of Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps is required

As a Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach in addition you will be responsible for: - Promoting and supporting Agile by helping the teams understand agile theory, practices, and values.
- Helping the teams to evolve to a diverse, high performing, self-organized team
- Facilitating and preparing scrum rituals and help to adapt those for best fit
- Encouraging continuous improvement
- Supporting to setup a value measurement model based on evidence-based management or similar
- Promoting collaboration between teams inside and outside of the organization
Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years of experience within IT or other relevant business disciplines. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience.Position Purpose:This is a project management role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization. Responsible for planning and executing projects according to Business Technology and business requirements. Scope of work includes project objectives, scheduling / planning, resource loading & estimation, budget, execution coordination, project metrics, and management presentations to ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Delegates tasks and/or responsibilities to team members for action according to their level of experience and assigned accountability. Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC). Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc. Develops, maintains, and monitors master project schedule. Plan and manage cutover activities during any new project or sustaining deployment. Assists in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOW) describing project scope, deliverables, assumptions, and estimated costs. Ensures the SOW meets the expectations of the business. Identifies and manages dependencies and critical path issues and resolves outstanding issues and concerns as a result of first line management escalation. Manages scope change requests and quality reviews.Additional Functions: Experience with effectively communicating to senior business management. . Consults with business unit management and reviews proposals to determine goals, timeline, budget, procedures, staffing requirements and assignment of resources. . Excellent presentation design and delivery skills. . Ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings. . Participates in design reviews for implementation projects. . Demonstrated competence in risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering. .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Proven ability to lead teams through complex solution design and delivery process. Proficiency with Project Management Tools. Certified Project Manager (CPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgM), and / or Scrum Master certification preferred.
