Sr Data Analyst in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:Through interviews and discovery analysis, the senior data analyst will identify Gulfstreams functional data sets to create a data ontology for all data. The the data analyst will manage: Enterprise Data Models, Enterprise Data Maps, and coordinate/maintain completion of the EnterpriseData Dictionary and Catalog. These artifacts will be mapped to Gulfstream's strategies and initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst works under the guidance of the Data Architect and supports capital and operational projects.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Lead data modelling efforts across cross-functional teams to assist defining and establishing data priorities, providing direction and performing administrative tasks as needed. Coordinate with others to provide technical leadership to drive data storage technology choices, strategy, and implementation decisions to achieve reliability, performance, and adaptability of all technologies under the IT domains. Serve on data governance boards and act as the liaison between governance/user and technology interests within the organization, and facilitate and document the agreements on corporate data and usage . Understand the business process flow, requirements and perform data analysis to identify the data requirements including data archival and requirements . Develop of 3-year data management roadmap with investment milestones including developing data management strategy, processes & tools, data technology opportunities, data models & frameworks and complexity reduction agenda . Design and ensure the development of the data privacy and security in alignment with regulatory and jurisdiction based requirements and collaborate with Data Governance and support their objective with data architecture and delivery oversight . Build data storage management best practices across the implementation . Communicate data requirements of infrastructure needs, working with the IT architects to develop an approach that fits enterprise needs . Evaluate new tools, products, frameworks and technologies and establish processes to achieve results leading the design, development and delivery data centric IT solutions, including large scale data staging and orchestration, integration and provisioning mechanisms . Define cloud storage solutions, disciplines and methods required. to ensure data currency, meaning and quality within and across subject areas and disciplines not limited to; Object-Based Storage, File Base Storage, Object Data Structure, Distributed Design, Storage Tiering, Search and Replication, Compliance and Regulations, Data Storage Architecture, Multi tenancy, Data Versioning.Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Data Analyst expertise in the following areas; (a) Storage, Virtualization, Server, Networking and Security; (b) understanding of data-center technology and private and public cloud industry trends; (c) web services and associated protocols, standards and tools (SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, etc.). Experience with IBM Technologies, Microsoft, SAP, Cisco, EMC, Netapp, VMWare, Open stack products a plus. Demonstrates enterprise thinking and influence across functional boundaries. Business functional experience a plus.
