Sr. Mgr, Infrastructure Innovation and Automation in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills: Additional Functions: - Lead and manage multiple teams including storage operations and engineering. Researches and evaluates new technologies associated with data storage array technologies, and automation processes across the complete infrastructure platform domain.
- Thorough understanding of complex IT systems (Compute and Storage) and stays up to date with the latest trends as well as architecture solution best practices.
- Updates storage hardware and software to ensure enterprise storage management remains current with new technologies.
- Establish DevOps principles and thought processes throughout the Infrastructure platform teams that includes Infrastructure as Code and automate first strategies.
- Work with Infrastructure director and other peers to build a strategic roadmap that incorporates all infrastructure components / teams and builds a unified vision.
- Establish metrics to measure the health of DevOps / Automation across the infrastructure.
- Expertise in utilizing CI/CD and DevOps tools such as: Git, SonarQube, Jira, qTest, Docker, JFrog, Ansible, Jenkins, IaC, ELK, etc.
- Expertise in utilizing multiple compute engines including Snowflake, Spark/Databricks, Kafka, Presto/Trino, MongoDB
- Expertise in major Cloud platforms including data policies and hybrid environments
- Have a background in storage solutions, Cloud-native engineering, agile development, open source, automated deployment, continuous integration, data engineering and Cloud infrastructure.
Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree Computer Science, MIS or technology related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years experience in developing enterprise solutions to include 4 years of experience managing professional level employees or medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects.Position Purpose:Leads the program to develop, maintain cloud infrastructure and platforms. Responsible for driving operational excellence, organizational agility and consistent delivery of high quality applications deliverables. Position supports the organization's goal to be well positioned to deliver innovative solutions and tools that provide tangible value to the business. Has overall responsibility for a team of IT professionals charged with the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Lead the creation or evolution of automation environments for technology department . Understand, advocate and support the enterprises IT strategies . Lead the creation or evolution of the Application delivery methods and environments . Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement . Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture .
