Sr Patching and Deployment Analyst in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:Multiple hybrid work schedules available. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. 3 years experience with SCCM infrastructure, task sequencing, and Microsoft Distribution Points.Position Purpose:Stand up business technology infrastructure framework to support the enterprise and leading patching and deployment staff functions.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Solve complex problems in a complex, large-scale, and multi datacenter environment . Develop workstation configurations that consider the requirements of several unique business applications processing simultaneously on a particular workstation or group of workstations . Analyze, document, package, test, and distribute business applications, workstation packages and utilities in accordance with DOD standards . Manage workstation images for a multiple OS environment, implement quarterly image updates, maintain configuration documentation . Plan, design and test vendor client server packages for new software, patches, and new releases, to insure application to workstations has the desired effect . Manage and maintain SCCM infrastructure . Implementation of DISA STIG and DOD Security Requirements . Virtualization of applications and automation/scripting of processes . Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting Microsoft products . MS Windows 7 and 8.1 installation, configuration and system administration in a constantly evolving enterprise environment . Patching management and reporting; Software management . Working remedy incidents related to workstation issues . Troubleshooting issues related to workstation and application performance . Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation associated with enterprise projects and systems . Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production . Work with Project Managers to break down a project into tasks, resources and timelines . Collaborate, document, and share information to improve the team toward providing outstanding customer support .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Microsoft System Center Training and SCCM Certification desired. Solid background with Windows OS 7 and 8.1. VDI experience desirable. Familiarity with DISA STIG and DoD security requirements. Skilled in planning and executing maintenance activities. Strong verbal and written communication. Proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel 2010. Understand Microsoft-centric infrastructure. Working knowledge of Remedy. Outstanding customer service with strong communication skills, sound judgment, negotiating, and decision making skills. Knowledge of Power Shell and command scripts. PKI familiarity. Patch management and reporting experience. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. 8570 compliant IAT Level II. MCP/MCSA.
