Minimum 3 years each of CCTV and Network experience are both required for this position. Our projects include work for companies like CVS, Kohl's, Chick-Fil-A, Big Lots and more. Requirements:

Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent), AA or above preferred

Customer Service skills

Valid Driver’s License

Eligibility to work in the United States

Responsibilities:

Advanced Computer Skills

Diagnose and repair computer and mobile devices

Explain technical issues to customers

Repair and replace hardware/software

Have an excellent understanding of network design and connectivity

Able to configure routers, switches, VPN, etc.

Wired and wireless networking

Knowledge of TCP/IP and network guidelines

Knowledge of WAN/LAN operations

Maintenance, design, and troubleshooting of network components

Splicing coax cables, CAT 5/6 and fiber optic

Able to run coax cables and connect them

Conduct system tests to verify connectivity

Provide estimates of services to customers

Manage ticketing system and scheduling of customers

Answer phone calls with professionalism and quality customer service

Manage inventory and orders of device parts

Handle customer payments and submit daily deposits to management

Maintain the appearance of the store

Problem-solving skills

Customer service skills

Written and Oral Communication Skills

Must be able to work independently

Must know how to extend cable pairs in support of single pair circuit supporting Ethernet over Copper

Extensions

Must know how to extend cable pairs in support of T1 Circuits

Pre-and Post install pictures must be taken

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in CCTV, Computer Repair and Networking (Mandatory)

Working Conditions/Requirements:

Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds

Ability to work flexible hours

Required Tools and Materials:

Tech must have a Laptop

o Must have a serial port or USB to serial adaptor for Cisco and Adtran equipment

o A console cable for Cisco and Adtran equipment

o A terminal emulator (Hyper-term, Putty, etc.) and knowledge how to operate it Preferred they have internet connectivity allowing Remote Desktop access when configuration modifications are required

Basic cabling/wiring tools and materials

o Connectors (RJ45, RJ11, Scotch locks, etc)

o Cat5 e + cable- (Plenum Rated)

o Crimpers

o Punch-down tool (66/110 block tips) Patch cables

Technical degree in technology preferred

Ability to use basic cable installation tools and hand tools and perform jobs from high places (on ladders), including climbing ladders up to 20 feet as determined by the system's requirements, and the use of scissor lifts and boom lifts. Reads general system layouts from blueprints, and basic knowledge of mathematics. - Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), various state and local codes and the policies and procedures for CATV, CCTV, and network installation activities.

Able to apply common sense, theory, and experience to decision-making; able to recognize similarities between past and present situations; able to identify key issues or use inductive reasoning in complex situations and to communicate courteously and pro-actively; able to learn customers' short term and long-term needs; see issues from customers' position, and recommend products or service; able to promote customer focus in employees and develop partnerships with customers.

Able to persist and finish projects despite obstacles, or redirect when necessary; able to follow instructions or take action and address opportunities with little supervision; able to take extra steps to prevent mistakes or create opportunities.

Completes all necessary paperwork associated with all jobs during his/her shift and submits to supervisor in a timely, neat and professional manner.
