Apartment Community Maintenance Technician - Growing national Property Management Company is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech for their local apartment community with at least 2 years experience in the field.
Responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall operations of the property including service requests and to provide assistance on make-ready apartments that are necessary to enhance the value of the community. Experience in troubleshooting appliance issues, electrical, plumbing, carpentry is a must.
Requirements for the position:
Apartment Maintenance Experience: 2 Years
Prompt and courteous handling of all resident service requests as directed by the office staff
Must be able to lift 80-100 lbs.on a regular basis.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Prepare vacant apartments in a timely manner.
Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
Assist in the development and maintenance of safe working conditions.
Maintain a neat, orderly and safe workshop and storage areas.
Must have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:
Interior/Exterior Painting
Repair/replace locks, smoke alarms
Preventative Maintenance
Minor plumbing/electrical repairs
Perform general carpentry repairs
Janitorial
Maintain and repair appliances,general plumbing, pools and pool equipment.
Dispose of litter and debris whenever encountered.
Other duties as outlined by the property manager or property supervisor.
Comply with OSHA regulations
Comply with all state and federal regulations relating to waste disposal, hazardous chemical labeling and handling, etc.
