About the role:

As an MBP IT Architect, you'll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating, and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.

What you will be doing:

• Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.• Documenting functional product solutions which would include technical and network documentation.

• Maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.

•Design automated switchovers for core application and ancillary applications.

•Work with technical teams on designing/improving availability for the core platform.

•Assist with troubleshooting performance issues and determining root cause and solution to address.

What you will need:

• 15 or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.• Experience designing, planning, implementing, supporting, and migrating applications in a shared service bureau environment.• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.

• Experience working with cross functional teams and project teams to determine requirements and drive out the solution.

•Working knowledge of OpenShift platforms, Networking, Automation and Scripting. Working knowledge of Splunk and Dynatrace.• Experience of Release management practices

• Demonstrated experience of modern software application technologies

•Requires in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices

•Extensive environment and application support background, especially of customer facing production environments for previous generation banking cores

•Positive outlook, strong work ethic and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts

•Comfortable working with a globally diverse set of users, contractors, and partners

•Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take

•Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills

•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization

•A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience - post-graduate education desired.
