Applicants must be able to demonstrate our core values of Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Honesty and High Standards.Summary Job Description:Support Ameris Bank's Retail and Small Business initiative to achieve new customers and expand relationships with existing customers. The Retail Banker will ensure the customer's needs are achieved by conducting a thorough financial needs assessment and recommending the most appropriate products and services that fulfills the customer's immediate and future financial needs. The Retail Banker will generate leads, build new and maintain existing customer relationships within our experience expectations. The Retail Banker is accountable for meeting customers' sales, service, and transactional needs.Duties/Responsibilities:Sell, open and maintain all products and services of Ameris Bank and cross sell other services to both new and existing clientsMaintain thorough knowledge of all bank products and services including pricing, bank policies and government regulationsAccountable to meet all assigned customer service and sales activity goals by executing an action plan that includes outbound phone contact to customers and prospects, in branch and out of branch sales activities, as well as other sales activities as directedMake referrals to appropriate specialist including commercial, investments, and mortgageParticipate in branch activities including community eventsMaintain a system of orderly follow-up by mail and telephone with new and existing customers to generate additional businessPerform both the Personal Banker and Service Representative (Teller) functions in the delivery of efficient, accurate and professional service that defines great customer experienceGain in depth knowledge of the different banking channels and promote opportunities to introduce the multichannel customer to these capabilitiesHave an understanding and apply basic sales skills and product knowledge including deposit and loan productsThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.
