Directs, coordinates, and integrates teams of personnel in specialized functions into a total logistics management program. Assesses and develops requirements, within available or allocated resources, for funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services. Utilizes prescribed metrics to measure trends and indicators, and provides status to senior managers. Understands and applies principals of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), system management, logistics readiness, logistics plans, logistics information systems, automated data processing, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Researches and provides details to senior management for alternative and innovative solutions to adverse logistics issues including best commercial practices and Inter and Intra service or agency support agreements. Coordinates the activities of individual functional areas into a unified program to meet total support requirements.
Analyzes statistical data and specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives
Reviews production schedules, supply chain specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activites
Applies statistical methods and performs mathematical calculations to determine processes, requirements, and standards
Communicates with management and user personnel to develop standards
