Responsibilities

Perspecta has an exciting opportunity available for a Audio Video (AV) Lead at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. The United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) G6 staff office has a requirement to plan, modernize, operate, and maintain the Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) and Information Technology (IT) systems and services supporting USARPAC, its subordinate commands, and strategic and operational partners. Support will include the complete infrastructure life cycle for all hardware, software, and services; including planning, analysis, engineering, design, development, installation, integration, testing, operations and maintenance, and training of all supported USARPAC G6 C4 and IT systems.

Proven experience as a Computer Networks Lead managing manage all areas of Army networks projects. The Computer Networks Lead shall be responsible for the coordination of requirements in the USARPAC G6 portfolio for project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, monitoring, and reporting. The Computer Network Lead will drive the design and plans for network communications systems. Provided specifications and detailed schematics for network architectures. Conduct cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet requirement needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network designs. Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options. Planning the implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

It is required that the Computer Networks Lead has the following qualifications:

a. Possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with access to SCI based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI).b. Possesses an active CISCO Certified Network Professional (Routing & Switching) certification.c. A minimum of five years of experience designing local, regional, WAN, and network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.It is desired that the Computer Networks Lead has the following qualifications:d. A minimum of two years of experience leading teams of network engineers.e. A minimum of two years working with DoD IA policy and guidelines and applying their implications on network architecture design and configuration.
