We are looking for a full time Junior Accountant for I. Kitagawa. The Junior Accountant will be responsible to assist Executive Management, comply with all governmental compliance issues on accounting, tax, and audit. The applicant must maintain a high level of professionalism with manufacturers, financial institutions, vendors, and affiliates.
Duties:
Assists with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Assists Senior Accountant in auditing general ledger accounts
Prepares reports as assigned by Senior Accountant
Will assist Senior Accountant in examining areas of concern as noted by the Controller
Assists in the preparation of short and long-term financial forecasts for the Company
Will comply with all applicable governmental accounting or tax regulations, including payroll taxes, corporate taxes, excise taxes, and income taxes.
Will assist Senior Accountant in the completion of monthly financial statements
Will assist Senior Accountant in the completion of year-end financial documentation, annual reports, and tax returns
Will assist Senior Accountant with the annual physical parts inventory for the Company
Will assist in audits as assigned by the Senior Accountant
Will perform other duties as assigned by the Senior
Accountant Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 3.0 or greater grade point average from an accredited college or university
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to read and understand basic financial reporting
Ability to effectively present financial information to management
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
