World-recognized Art Gallery is currently hiring for a Gallery Art Director position in Maui, Hi.
The Gallery Director is responsible for managing the gallery’s day-to-day operations, the maintenance of the gallery, renovations and hiring the Art Consultants. As part of our team, the Gallery Art director should always present him or herself as a professional with extensive knowledge on our collections, train and support other Art Consultants and keep the Gallery to its highest upkeep. Our Art Gallery Directors have the most respect for our clients and for co-workers. They understand the importance of knowing the right wordage, dress code and punctuality. Directors must, provide regular reports to operations, and follow corporate protocols at all times.
Qualifications
Gallery directors require an understanding and appreciation of art, combined with the business and marketing skills to manage a team and run a profitable operation. Directors should have significant experience in art sales or a management role in an art gallery. Must be familiar with Mac computers and preferably Spinsoft software. Must be able to work standing up for long periods of time. Schedule requires to work weekdays and weekends on different hours. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Sales
Directors take responsibility for selling works of art to build gallery income. They maintain relationships with collectors, clients, new clients and everyday visitors to identify the type of work that is in demand. Self-Motivated and able to motivate the Art Consultants at all times, keep staff informed about promotions, sales, new releases, and more.
