Job Description

HNu Photonics is seeking a Sr. Project Management candidate to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within SCORPIOV Space Systems Division. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between customer requirements and planning, project team, and internal management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and ensures requirements specifications are met. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, goals, and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with managers, technical staff, and customers/clients.

Project Manager will be the primary representative with the customer/end-user on space mission program(s).

The PM is responsible to maintain close contact with the customer organization ensuring a continuous line of communication is kept open with the appropriate customer representatives to maintain a high level of program status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems.

Primary Responsibilities & Qualifications

Provides technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

Requires exceptional interpersonal and organization skills in conjunction with excellent written and oral communication capabilities

Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently, and prioritizing activities to achieve objectives in specified timeframes

Requires exceptional interpersonal and organization skills in conjunction with excellent written and oral communication capabilities

Project management and/or program management experience.

Minimum experience of 10 years with Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years with Master's Degree in Engineering management

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and Word, and MS project, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years experience in military/commercial space electronics program/project

Functional knowledge of spacecraft products, processes, systems and applications.

Knowledge of Earned Value Management, a plus

Additional responsibilities:

Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.

This position may serve as Proposal Manager, or key proposal team member for follow-on business or new business opportunities in related program areas

The PM may also manage related IRAD activities

Support and evolve internal company activities, policies, and processes
