Essential Functions
Hawaii Job Corps is currently recruiting for Residential Dormitory Advisor . Reporting to the Manager, Group Life, this position is responsible for residential activities providing for maximum program coordination, student discipline and preparation of records and reports, in compliance with government and management directives.
Other duties include, but not limited to:
1. Monitor group living conditions, evaluate situations and conditions within the dorms and make recommendations.
2. Perform duties involving student passes, leaves, evaluations, progress reports for assigned shifts.
3. Perform residential advisor functions as necessary to ensure safety and proper student behavior.
4. Communicate with families of students of students by mail and phone as required to resolve issues and assure the well being of students.
5. Coordinate activities of dormitories including recreation and entertainment on and off center.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED & 2 years experience working with youth required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency also required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
