Position Summary:

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. RBT's are primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. RBT's provide 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families. They are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by the BCBA/BCaBA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Completes a BACB approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current. HCCF will help pay for this training course.

Assists the BCBA Supervisor in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting with children and young adults with Autism.

Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.

Participates in in-service programs as assigned.

Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.

With the BCBA, instructs patients and family/significant others in programs and protocols.

Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.

Immediately reports to BCBA/ Supervisor on any patient incidents/variances or complaints.

Adheres to Agency standards

Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation

Maintains clean and neat work environment.

Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.

Maintains current CPR and BLS certification (agency may assist with this).

Maintains acceptable attendance, per Agency policy.

Attends all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma (minimum)with experience or Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or desire to work toward receiving your RBT certification.
