VAULT TRAINER (Honolulu)

Position Summary:

The Vault Trainer reports to the Vault Operations Manager and may receive additional directions from the Vault Supervisor. The Vault Trainer is responsible for training new Vault staff and conducting weekly meetings/training to meet Vault expectations and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides training of new staff, retraining of existing staff and update procedures as needed to support to the Vault expectations and goals. Keeps the Vault Operations Manager and Vault Supervisor informed of the status of operations at all times.

2. Is knowledgeable in Company and Departmental policies and procedures. Assists Vault Operations Manager to identify trends to drive measurable and sustainable improvements within the department. Continuously evaluates the departments operational performance and makes recommendations for process improvements.

3. Ensures and enforces compliance with all Company and Department policies and procedures as well as relevant contractor or governmental rules and regulations.

4. Makes sure all team members are trained and provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

5. At minimum, assists manager and supervisor with evaluating employees on their performance and areas needing improvement, concerns and strengths by their 6-month and annual anniversary dates or sooner.

6. Monitors employee performance, reviews and recommends any corrective measures through coaching and disciplinary actions. Reviews, trains, coaches and guides direct reports to follow through with any performance objectives to ensure that all department employees are performing their duties to the best of their abilities and are achieving their fullest potential.

7. Identifies training and development needs of department employees and proactively seeks resources to facilitate their growth and development.

8. Assists and supports all other departments as needed. The following are examples (not an all-inclusive list):

- Works closely with and supports the ATM and Armored Courier Department and Neighbor Island Branches as needed.

9. Understands and ensures compliance with the following policies and procedures by all department employees:

- Sexual Harassment & Workplace Violence

- Work Injury Prevention

- Drug Free Workplace

- Company House & Safety Rules

10. Complies with all Federal, State and local laws as applicable to the scope of duties and responsibilities.

11. Maintains good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times and while in uniform, ensures uniform is clean and wrinkle free.

12. Performs all duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Good at problem solving and analytical thinking.

Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook), Windows, and the use of the internet.

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Good attention to detail and able to perform with a high degree of accuracy.

Highly flexible and able to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.

Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal and credit background check.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate degree or a combination of education and experience.

1 year of supervisory/training experience or equivalent.

Work Hours:

Work week is Monday through Friday, however, schedule requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business needs arise. Must be available on an on-call basis, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Work Environment:

The employee will be working in a highly secured area with limited access.

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts (cash counter machines, automated coin wrappers, automated pallet jack with lift ability).

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
