Hiring for 3 different civil engineering roles. Details below:

1) Civil Engineer for Traffic and Transportation

Location: Honolulu

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM

Pay: $72K-$84K

Requirements: Must have bachelors degree in civil engineering and 23 years of civil engineering experience.

Responsibilities: Will conduct traffic engineering such as traffic planning, impact assessment, forecasting, master planning, pedestrian studies, transit studies, traffic demand and parking analysis, and construction traffic management. Will also be doing operation and capacity analysis. Will do design for intersection, traffic signals, and traffic calming.

2) Civil Project Manager for Design Build Firm

Location: Honolulu

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM

Pay: $70K-$120K

Requirements: Qualified candidate must have a BA/BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience as a civil designer. A minimum of 2 years experience in the field of civil engineering. Must have knowledge of City, County, State of Hawaii and Federal design standards and regulations.

Responsibilities: Produce designs using AutoCad and Civil3D, performs research and investigations, performs moderate level design tasks and prepares portions of project documents, assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, and/or administrative staff, works independently and collaboratively on planning, design and/or research on conventional civil engineering projects. Evaluates, analyzes, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria for a wide range of civil engineering projects. Assists in field investigations and site visits for observation of construction, determining project schedule and budget requirements, and communication with clients, consultants or other official contacts relating to specific assignments or meetings. Keeps informed of new developments and requirements of the civil engineering profession. Assists project managers, project engineers or principal in charge with more complex civil engineering projects. Analyzes survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.

3) Civil Designer for Federal Projects

Location: Honolulu

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM

Pay: $90K-$110K

Requirements: Must have demonstrated experience and expertise as Civil Engineer and Design Manager. Must have high degree of proficiency and skills in oral, written, and graphic communication. Must have high degree of competence in use of NAVFAC software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD, PAVER, etc.) and other computer skills needed for design management and execution. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineering License in Civil Engineering is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities: Provide timely, professional Civil products for the design and construction of new facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including military construction (MILCON) and DPRI projects. Provide for all aspects of Civil design, including concept design development, sustainable design, design analyses, compliance with codes and standards, drawings, specifications, and other required services for new facilities (new construction) projects. Collaborate with design and engineering disciplines to ensure site and building systems coordination and integration in project design. Execute in-house Design-Bid-Build civil design within specified milestones and quality standards. Execute in-house Design-Build RFP within specified milestones and quality standards. Participate in Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACD)/Design Charrette to determine functional requirements, establish project requirements, and develop concept design for large, complex projects. Execute design using NAVFAC and DoD design criteria and references (Unified Facilities Criteria, Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications, NAVFAC Business Management System, NAVFAC Engineering Construction Bulletins, Whole Building Design Guide,). Ensure quality control is maintained in design execution.

Perform Airfield Pavement inspections as part of an inspection team led by a government engineer, in accordance with Pavement Condition Index survey procedures and the USACE PAVER Distress Identification Manuals.

Provide summary of accomplishments to NAVFAC Pacific CI45, Civil Branch Manager via weekly and monthly status reports.
