This position is located in the Asset Management Business Line, of NAVFAC, Hawaii. As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide preliminary design, preparation of planning documents, evaluation, and technical analysis for the installation and maintenance of facilities of various complexities. These facilities range from permanent multi-story buildings, waterfront structures, complex sewer systems, electrical emergency, to industrial facilities.
Responsibilities/Duties:
You will be responsible for preliminary electrical engineering designs and cost estimates.
You will perform engineering assessments of facilities and provide technical assistance and solutions to resolve deficiencies in facilities throughout the complex.
You will provide planning services and preliminary designs for equipment installations, alterations, new construction, repair, maintenance, and major renovation/rehabilitation work.
You will review and analyze work requests to determine the nature and scope of work required.
You will be responsible for planning, developing, and preparing project documentation for facilities projects in accordance with appropriate codes, regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering ;
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level performing the following duties:
o Providing electrical engineering design and cost estimates;
o Providing technical assistance and solutions to resolve deficiencies in facilities;
o Providing consultation and expertise to supervisors and customer activities; and
o Developing planning and project documents (e.g. analyses of facility condition, projected workload, etc.) in order to make recommendations for equipment installation, alteration, new construction, repair, maintenance and major renovation/rehabilitation.
Certain positions require licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE). If you are licensed, please submit with your application or state so on your resume.

- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation and have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
