CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER
Overview:
Drayko Construction, Inc. is a local Hawaii construction firm, looking for an experienced project level engineer for diverse construction projects, with a primary focus in civil and underground utility work. Experience in public works construction is required, and Federal projects experience is a plus. The position is an integral part of the Project Team which requires the mentorship of the Project Engineer working below them. Time management, interpersonal skills and communication will be key to the Engineer’s success. Skills and experience in Quality Control, Safety, Scheduling, and Estimating are preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or university is required
5-10 years experience in construction required
Strong communication and writing skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat required. Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD preferred
Familiar with stakeout/layout and surveying preferred
Able to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment
USACE/NAVFAC CQCM certification is a plus
Must be detail oriented
Must possess a current driver’s license
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
May be required to travel throughout the State of Hawaii for projects
