POSITION SUMMARY

Project Field Oversight Engineer - Oversight of Honolulu Rail Transit Project Core Systems equipment installation and testing. Systems included in the scope for oversight includes Passenger Vehicle, Automatic Train Control, Communication System, Fire Detection System, Traction Electrification System, Uninterrupted Power Supply, and Passenger Screen Gate System.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

 Conduct periodic inspection of the installation progress in the field.

 Witness testing and commissioning of the equipment in the field.

 Assist with the review of documents, including installation drawings, test procedures and test reports.

 Generate installation and testing reports as needed.

 Participate in periodic quality assurance audits.

ESSENTIAL Skills

 Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical design documents.

 Familiarity in NEC and NFPA installation and testing requirements. Comfortable working with other national standards and codes.

 Highly organized and detail oriented. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

 Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team environment.

 Flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.

 Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

 Possess good interpersonal skills and proficient oral and written communication skills.

 Familiarity and confidence to work with medium voltage equipment (12kV AC equipment and 750V DC equipment).

 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 Ability to work off regular office hours. Work may sometimes require working second shift and third shift.

 Sensitive to time deadlines and ensure that work is accomplished on time.

 Comply with project administrative requirements including, but not limited to, sign in/sign out processes, office access protocols, IT protocols, QA Procedure and safety requirements.

 MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 Experience in collaboration software such as Oracles CMS, MS SharePoint, and MS Office Professional tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook.

 Engineering Degree (preferably electrical engineering) with 3 years or more of electrical/mechanical installation and testing experience.

 Possessed valid driving license.

 Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred REQUIREMENTS

 Experience in construction and electrical and mechanical testing of large commercial projects.

 Railway experience.

Work Environment - Normal office (20%) and construction field environment (80%).
