Assure quality and consistency of data by partnering with other operational teams
Send notice of money owed to insurance companies and patients
Manage elements of specific patient accounts, such as billing and reimbursement
Requirements
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Prefer 2+ years experience in medical billing or within the revenue cycle
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs)
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Quality experience with dental
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Word
Knowledge of medical claims
Practical knowledge of Denti-Cal
Experience with medical collections
Proficiency in medical denials
General familiarity with medical billing
Proven knowledge of medical coding
Wide ranging experience with medical terminology
Well-founded grasp of HIPAA compliance patient privacy rules
Earlier work involving dental billing
Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
Healthcare practice management software experience preferred
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
