Lead Cook - Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations for long-term care. Ensures foods are prepared and served in palatable and appetizing manner, and therapeutic in accordance with established standards and diet restrictions.
Responsible for management of inventory and ordering of supplies as necessary to assure adequate amounts in stock. Develops and converts all recipes to meet dietary requirements of residents and facility functions. Responsible for daily supervision and direction of food production services and Food Service staff, delegating responsibilities to ensure accurate, timely efficient meal service delivered in a safe and sanitary manner, and ensuring all duties are assigned and completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Previous cook and administrative support experience in long-term care facilities preferred.
