We are looking for guides who share these values in their personal life and have a passion for educating visitors to Maui about the Marine World and Hawaiian Culture.
Being an ocean activity guide can be very rewarding "job" for the right person. If you like to stay up late and party, this probably isn't the job for you. However, if you are an early riser and love being out in nature then this could be a good fit. The hours are early mornings, starting around 530am and done around 12:00pm. Morning hours make it possible to have a second job in the evening time if you need. You'll be getting paid to exercise and play in the ocean. something your guests will be paying to do:) Full time employees will receive health insurance. For long term employees we have a great benefits package which includes Paid vacation, matching IRA, Paid Maternity/Paternity/Bereavement Leave, Continued Education.
Passionate, friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing, personable are all words which describe the ideal guides personality.
Safety is our number one value. CPR and First Aid Certification is required (certification can be obtained after start date). Lifeguard Certification is helpful.
Marine Naturalist Certification, Hawaiian Cultural and Hawaiian Marine Life knowledge is a huge plus.
Passion for the marine environment and enthusiasm to share that passion with visitors is a must.
