One Kalakaua Senior Living Association is seeking for a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med Nurse position for home care setting in an assisted living/retirement community. Duties for Staff Nurse include passing medications to Assisted Living residents in their apartments, respond to emergencies, clinical care management, assessments and some administrative duties.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Current LPN license registered in the State of Hawaii. Must be CPR, First Aid certified and able to obtain TB clearance. NEW GRADS WELCOME! Minimum of 2 years' paid work experience as a licensed nurse preferred. Prior geriatric/home health experience preferred.
SKILLS: Must have good assessment and documentation skills and demonstrate understanding, patience, tact and courtesy in dealing with elderly residents, family, visitors and co-workers. Ability to cooperate with other health professionals and to coordinate efforts toward maximum resident care. Ability to recognize and solve problems and make appropriate decisions. Demonstrates proper nursing skills/techniques and infection control measures.
