Part Time Caregiver Needed

Alternative Care Services, Inc. is seeking an honest, compassionate, reliable and detail-oriented caregiver to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position includes working closely under the supervision of an RN and involves learning skills such as artificial feeding via a G-tube, oral suctioning, and total care an adult in a wheelchair. Our RN is dedicated to teaching the highest standards of care including total assistance with activities of daily living.
The position offered is part time to start with promotion to full-time based on performance and other criteria as positions become available. The residence is on a major bus line and located within walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
2 separate shifts are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with specific days to be negotiated.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess and provide a copy of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and be able to provide and/or pass the following:
- FBI Fingerprinting Background Check
- State of Hawaii Criminal History Background Check
- Adult Protective Services (APS) Background Check
- Child Protective Services (CPS) Background Check
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current TB test or negative chest X-ray
- Physical Exam
- Drug Test
- A valid Hawaii Drivers License and experience is preferred but not necessary to apply
This position offers a starting pay rate of $12.00 per hour. Sub-contractor rates are also available and are based on experience and education in this field.
