Responsible for unit clerical duties and support of Nursing Department, under supervision of Health Information Associate. Assists charge nurses in ensuring medical records are complete; inputting of resident data in clinical software complies with federal and state regulations, as well as established policies and procedures to ensure highest quality of resident care is maintained at all times.
Previous healthcare and unit clerk or office/clerical experience highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practice preferred. Knowledge of basic personal computer skills (spread sheets and word processing) required. Must be able to type 40 words/minute on computer.
