We are seeking a skilled yard maintenance person, with the enthusiasm to help us maintain and beautify this amazing 20 acre property in upper Wainaku.
The right candidate will have a decent knowledge and passion for tropical and local plants, and ability to identify invasive/aggressive ones.
This is a Full time position working outside 90% of the time. We will get rained out days but will try to make them up if possible.
Responsibilities include: Mowing (riding lawnmower), Weed eating, Hedge trimming, Tree trimming, Weed mitigation, Planting of trees, shrubs and flowers, Power washing, Maintaining and identifying problems with equipment, Organization of tools and supplies, Coordinating tasks for helpers, Planning and coordinating future upgrades to landscaping(garden beds, walkways, orchard).
Requirements:
-Able to communicate well via email, txt and in person
-Driver's License and own reliable transportation.
-Smartphone for communication and time sheet app
-Physically capable to preform job(lifting heavy things repeatedly throughout the day, bending/kneeling for long periods of time)
-Experience with yard maintenance equipment (zero turn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws and tractors, etc.)
-Knowledge of local and tropical plants
-Willingness to communicate with guests
Compensation: $16-$20 per hour depending experience and work ethic
Schedule: 9am-5pm Mon-Friday with the occasional weekend shift if weather throws us off
