The maintenance technician will perform a variety of tasks on the 25-acre property in Kaimuki. The technician will handle basic tasks in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. The team keeps the units, buildings, and equipment maintained and repaired; handles unit inspections; responds to after-hour maintenance calls; ensures that the department has the required materials and supplies in inventory; works cooperatively with contractors and vendors servicing the property; and assists with keeping the maintenance shop in good order. The technician will participate in heavy lifting, appliance removal and installation, digging, cleaning, and other manual labor tasks as required.
Desired Attributes and Qualifications
Years of experience in general maintenance in the areas of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting
Hardworking, able to lift 75 lbs, walk up and down hills/stairs, stand for periods of time, bend and otherwise move freely to satisfactorily handle job duties
Good people skills, team player
Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate ideas to meet the requirements of the job
History of good attendance, following procedures, and staying on schedule
Computer knowledge in entering information into a database and email helpful
Driver license, current auto insurance, and satisfactory drivers abstract
