MANUAL SCREEN PRINTER WANTED:
We are looking for an experienced manual press operator who can setup & print up to 6 colors. Let it be very clear that we are SPECIFICALLY looking for someone who knows how to print on a MANUAL press. We don't run an automatic, so please don't apply unless you are skilled on a MANUAL press. Ideally, we would like you to be able to start printing right away with as little training as possible. We are not looking to train someone with no experience. Preferably, we would like you to have at least one year of experience printing in a professional environment. We are an established screen printing company that's been around for 10+ years. We're located in the Sand Island area. Some training on the job will be provided, however higher levels of creativity & artistic skill make this training easier. We're looking for someone who's honest, motivated, detail-oriented, passionate about the industry, maintains a positive attitude & is fun to be around. Ideally, we want to hire a candidate that sees themselves in this industry for the next few years or more. Your duties will mainly be handled in the print shop & darkroom. You will be part of an expansive work environment that's vibrant, artistic, & constantly pushing the boundaries, so being open minded, creative, & flexible is key. Teamwork makes the dream work, so we all need to be honest, accountable, & respectful to each other. Time is of the essence, so you must also be punctual & detail oriented. Last, but definitely not least, we feel like life is a constant evolution, so we would like someone who is into personal growth & always does their best to practice self love & show aloha to others.
Responsibilities include:
Printing Garments/T-shirts
Checking in orders/garments to ensure order accuracy
Registering designs on press with proper print placement
Drying & folding screen printed items
Cleaning, reclaiming & coating screens
Exposing / Burning screens
Filing & storing screens
Light cleaning around shop (vacuum, sweeping & mopping)
Bonus: Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Physical & Environmental Job Requirements:
Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and moving items
Moving & standing for long periods of time
Able to lift or carry up to 40 pounds up and down the stairs throughout the shift
Occasionally working with art related chemicals
We are looking to fill a full-time position from Monday-Friday 10a-6pm, however there will be a 30-90 day part time trial period before we bring you on full time. Days & hours are flexible. Pay will start between $13.00-$15.00/Hour based on skills & experience. Great opportunity to grow in an artistic environment. A discount on our services is offered to employees.
