Established local wholesaler and distributor of fish and seafood products is looking for a full-time person with a minimum of 1 year dock and/or warehouse experience. Majority of the job is working the dock area off loading fresh and frozen seafood products to be stored in refrigerated areas for processing. Some driving is required for local deliveries and picking up loads from the airport area.
Our ideal candidate would be dependable (show up for work), have a positive and friendly attitude, good communication skills, able to following instructions, demonstrates good common sense and sound judgment, and able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with others. .
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED.
Able to operate standing/sitting forklift.
Basic computer skills.
Able to use inventory system - using bar codes and entering items into a computer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizen.
Stable work history.
Minimum 1 year warehouse and/or dock experience.
Minimum 1 year delivery driver experience.
Available to work Sunday through Saturday. Company is closed on Sunday but deliveries are scheduled.
(5-days work week).
Available to start early in the morning (between 5 am to 6 am) and work overtime as needed.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Able to work in climate controlled areas (chill room and freezer).
Familiar with streets and locations on Oahu.
Valid Hawaii drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
