SUMMARY
The Product Development/Production Coordinator is part of the in-house team, responsible for product development and production for Misha Hawaii Home. Misha Hawaii Home offers a curated collection of modern home goods, each piece inspired by the beauty of the Hawaiian islands. Every design features original artwork by Misha Lam, bringing the spirit of the islands into your home. The Product Development/Production Coordinator reports directly to the Owner/Designer and manages all merchandising, product development, and overseas production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Development Support: Collaborate with the designer to assist in the development of new home goods products, including researching trends, materials, and design inspirations.
Sample Management: Coordinate the creation, review, and approval of product samples, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with design specifications.
Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers and manufacturers, managing communications to ensure timely production and delivery of goods.
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and that products are delivered on time for launch or restocks.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of products throughout the development and production process, coordinating inspections and addressing any issues that arise.
Inventory Coordination: Track product quantities, manage stock levels, and coordinate reorders.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of product specifications, production timelines, and quality control processes.
Cost Management: Assist in managing production budgets, ensuring that costs remain within budget while maintaining product quality.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving production processes, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth product launches and alignment with company goals.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and company standards for safety, quality, and sustainability.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues that arise, working with relevant teams to find effective solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Product Development, Design, or Merchandising or skills that align with the position
Basic knowledge of product development, color ways, and fabrications.
1-2 years of product development or working with overseas factories
Computer savvy, knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Ability to create strong working relationships with cross functional team members through communication and problem solving.

Job Type: Part time with potential to go Full time.
Pay: $20-25/hour base on experience
