Revive + Refresh is a Honolulu-based nonprofit organization bringing humanity, innovation, and collaboration to the way services are provided to those experiencing homelessness. Our work is rooted in three beliefs:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Driver/Coordinator ("Driver") is a Part-Time position.

The Driver will assist the Coordinator of the mobile hygiene unit (Truck with a Tank, towing a trailer), and manage all aspects of shower unit cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. This position will facilitate training and be the primary contact for all guests and service delivery volunteers. The Driver is an essential member of Revive + Refresh team that has the most direct contact with the homeless communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate Revive + Refresh mobile hygiene unit (Truck with a Tank, towing a trailer).

Follow all policies, procedures and safety protocols.

Manage daily set-up, breakdown, activation and deactivation of the mobile hygiene unit including

hook-up to fire hydrants for water, propane connections, and the discharge of gray and black water.

Responsible for data entry on site with designated digital tools provided (i.e. collect signatures for

Release of Liability waivers, complete daily reports and communicate with team members.

Clean and prepare shower units between each use to ensure sanitary conditions in between

showers, and weekly deep cleaning, with other staff members and volunteers (when available).

Manage distribution of basic necessities (e.g., towels, hygiene kits, etc.) to guests as appropriate. Maintain a safe environment at assigned site.

Serve as an essential participant of Revive + Refresh Operations Team; contribute to planning and

strategy, help develop Community Rules, Safety Protocols, including infectious waste disposal.

Actively participate in weekly operations meetings to assess efficacy, solve problems and explore

opportunities.

Work with Revive + Refresh Management to maintain inventory of supplies and oversee

laundry service and delivery.

Training new hire Program Coordinators as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome and orient guests to Revive + Refresh hygiene services and review Community Rules for

participation.

Perform other duties related to service delivery and operations of mobile hygiene unit as

necessary and as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

A valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Customer service experience

Minimum 18 years of age or older.

Experience driving a commercial tank truck and towing a trailer (truck and trailer) in an urban

environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Computer skills necessary for data entry and reporting.

Ability to work in environments with diverse staff, guests, and volunteers.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience working with, providing service to, or volunteering with homeless and other vulnerable

populations.

Certified or able to be certified in CPR, first aid.

Conflict management skills a plus; must be able to remain calm and collected in the face of

conflict or challenging situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to assist ADA guests if there are mobility issues.

Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Must be willing to service the trailer utilizing our pump truck.

Must be able to work while standing, entering wheelchair and non-wheelchair accessible spaces.

Must be willing and able to travel to service partner sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an outdoor rain or shine project, and the Coordinator will be expected to work in all

weather conditions.

Must be prepared to deal with challenging circumstances that can include the mental health and

personal hygiene of program guests.
