What do you have to do? Show up for work. Work in a self-directed setting within a group home to teach and assist adults with mental illness in learning basic life skills to prepare them for independent living e.g., cooking, budgeting, hygiene to name a few. Provide maintenance of a single-family home and property. Shifts are either for 12-hours (AM = 6am-6pm or PM = 6pm-6am) for 3 days/week OR 8 hours/day (10am-7pm) and may float more than one group home. Refer to the vacancy list below.
What do you need to qualify for the job? High School diploma or GED. Valid Hawaii Driver's License and a clean driving abstract with no more than 3 violations within the last 3 years. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Where are the jobs? We have immediate full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) openings throughout the state on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and Big Island. FT positions can be live-in or non-live in (refer to list). PT positions are all non live-in:
Non live-in vacancies for 12-hour shifts: (OAHU only)
- Salary for these shifts are $11.75/hour
- FT: Keolu on Sundays (6pm-6m), Wednesdays and Fridays (6am-6pm)
- FT: Keolu on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (6pm-6am)
- FT: Honolulu on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (6am-6pm)
- FT: FLOATER - Kapolei on Sundays and Wednesdays (6am-6pm) / Mililani on Fridays (6pm-6am)
- PT: Honolulu on Thursdays (6am-6pm)
- PT: Kaneohe on Saturdays (6am-6pm)
- PT: Ewa on Saturdays (6pm-6am)
8-hour shifts and Floats:
- Salary for these shifts are $10.38/hour with a free housing for live-in positions
OAHU:
- FT (live-in): Olomana on Mondays to Fridays (10am-7pm)
- FT (float/non live-in): work schedule is 40 hours per week; flexible; covering our condos
- PT (non live-in): Olomana on Sundays and Saturdays (10am-7pm)
KAUAI:
- PT (non live-in): Lihue on Sundays (10am-7pm)
- PT (non live-in): Kapaa on Saturday/Sundays (10am-7pm)
MAUI:
- FT (float/non live-in)): Wailuku on Saturdays (10am-7pm) / Kula on Sunday and Mondays (10am-7pm) / Kahului on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (10am-7pm) with Thur/Fri off (mileage pay included and free housing is negotiable if needed)
- PT (non live-in): Wailuku on Sundays (10am-7pm)
BIG ISLAND:
- FT (non live-in): in Kona on Sundays to Thursdays with Fri/Sat off (10am-7pm)
- PT (non live-in): Naalehu on Sundays and Saturdays (10am-7pm)
- PT (non live-in): Honokaa on Sundays and Saturdays (10am-7pm)
