P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc. is seeking a full-time Program Director to manage operations and programs for East Hawaii, responsible for approximately 25 employees, to ensure that PARENTS, Inc. goals and objectives are met; to uphold our values and mission of strengthening families by providing resources, skills, support and advocacy to create a cycle of positive parenting. The overall goal of this position is to ensure programs are performing per contractual and/or grant requirements as well as per PARENTS policies and procedures; that staff are adequately prepared and trained for their positions and able to promote safe and stable families by mitigating the risk of child abuse and/or neglect to the families that are referred to the program from Child Welfare Services (CWS) as well as servicing the parents/caregivers engaged in our programs from various grants and the general public.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Recruiting, hiring, training all program supervisors; observing, mentoring and coaching supervisors; conducting performance evaluations; assisting program supervisors with their duties, when necessary, including observing and facilitating classes, observing office and field visits and/or counseling sessions, and any other areas that need support.

Program Director is responsible for monthly "All Staff" meetings; continuous quality assurance in all areas of operation; implementing outreach opportunities; participating in community activities, meetings/coalitions by networking and collaborating with other community providers; seeking out grants for agency advancement and development of new programs or to supplement existing programs; developing fundraising prospects for the agency in collaboration with the Executive Director and Management team; and adhering to all agency policies and procedures and contractual requirements.

Must work cooperatively with all departments and employees within PARENTS, Inc. to represent the Management, Administration and Agency in a highly professional manner. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, positively and professionally with all employees, clients, program participants and external contacts to the organization. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive material concerning the organization. Must demonstrate teamwork and behavior that is ethical, empowering, having integrity and accountability. Must have the knowledge, skill and ability to work with a wide range of individuals, community groups and systems of care; be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision but able to seek supervision when needed; able to meet and adhere to all required deadlines.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field, from an accredited institution; two (2) years of supervisory experience; and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with parents/caretakers who harmed or threatened to harm their children and children who experienced harm or were threatened with harm and who experienced trauma and loss. Preferred: Additional experience working with domestic violence, substance abuse and permanency issues.
