Job Description:

Fulfill or resolve network request or trouble call and complete required documentation (i.e., trouble ticket, network access request, Service Request, etc.). Understand and follow directions and adhere to policies and procedures (i.e., IT governance, PCI Compliance, audit, etc.). Lead and coordinate network and VOIP projects (i.e., firewall, core router/switch, Wireless, security, Cisco Unified Communications Server, etc.). Work with users and vendors to resolve network and VOIP connectivity or capacity issues. Capable of recommending and implementing cost reduction solution (i.e., streamline process, reduce or maintain risk, etc.). Support critical network equipment or complex system

Provide suggestion to improve organization based on experience

Escalate problems immediately to manager or designate (i.e., team lead, etc)

Complete all projects on time and within budget

Communicate effectively with users by simplifying complex technical situation using non-technical terms

Work with manager to determine ways to improve or maintain uptime while reducing expense

Manage vendor to contract terms based on negotiated SLAs

Optimize network performance (e.g. utilize network tools, QoS, etc.)

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of data/voice telecommunication or network security experience (i.e., installation, repair, troubleshooting, etc.) or comparable experience. CCNA certification a must, CCNP certification is desirable.

Able to setup and configure network devices (i.e., router, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection system, Wireless, cables, etc.).

Knowledge of network device troubleshooting, installation, reload, applying security patches, etc.

Running of ethernet cables, punch down, patch and terminations

Working knowledge of troubleshooting with cross network equipment, firewall, core network equipment or bridging protocols

Experience in Cisco Wireless Lan Controllers along with configuration/installing and troubleshooting AP's

Working/Troubleshooting Knowledge of Cisco Call Managers and Cisco Phones

What's up gold and physical security camera experience

Support VMware, Microsoft, associated Servers, and helpdesk with escalated issues and projects

Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable

Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

On call nights and weekends
