POSITION SUMMARY:
Direct personnel involved in establishing, promoting, and maintaining the company’s security property protection programs, and cash management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:
Recommends operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention, guarding and patrolling physical property, ordering and monitoring personnel involved with classified information and cash handling.
Responsible for firearms training and qualifications of the company’s personnel.
Responsible for recording and tracking employee firearm license expiration; and coordinate appropriate training courses and testing.
Responsible for recording and reporting the training and qualification hours to payroll in a timely fashion.
Coordinate and interact with customer security and personnel on security issues.
Oversee, and conduct all investigations regarding security violations and accidents
Oversee and conduct key and combination security
Oversee building alarm, installation, maintenance and integrity of combinations.
Liaison with enforcement agencies involving ongoing criminal investigations
Responsible for changing combinations per established company policy and performing as the point of contact with bank personnel.
Attend court proceedings when necessary
Responsible to keep upper management informed of losses and related status. Provide continuous training and development of company personnel with security issues and procedures
Develop, enhance and maintain employee security training programs to include video and photo instructions
Develop, augment and maintain employee continuing education and training program.
Develop and maintain company library on topics listed above to also include firearm training, videos, additional instruction that can be made available to employees to assist in the training process
Conduct the safety procedures and firearm classes/orientation for all new hires
Confer with representatives of management to formulate polices, determine need for programs, and coordinate programs with management
Ensure company security policies and procedures are enforced and make recommendations for modifications and/or additions
Conduct random branch/department audits to ensure policy and procedure compliance, including, but not limited to; condition of ATMs, Technician procedures, vehicle operations
Conduct, oversee and document loss investigations to include but not limited to; document acquisitions (evidence), surveillance, report writing and interpretation, liability swaps, interrogations and interviews.
Conduct video surveillance of ATMs and company vaults
Develop, implement, and maintain reporting procedures and documentation of Security department
Ensure company security polices and procedures are enforced and make recommendations for modifications and/or additions
Works harmoniously and effectively with fellow employees
Adheres and enforces company polices and procedures
Prioritize and organizes work assignments
Demonstrates the ability to exercise good judgment and effectively applies problem solving skills
Pay attention to detail
Able to work independently and without direct supervision
Responsible for reinforcing and ensuring division’s fiscal activities are adhering to corporate polices; examples include solicit three bids, monitoring inventory controls and instituting waste prevention measures
Responsible for performing functions of the job, and keep abreast of the latest developments relating to the job functions
Adhere to company’s requirements for customer/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations and take necessary corrective action
Ensures procedures limit liability and protect the assets of the company
Performs other duties assigned by management
Promote an accident-free work environment
Succession planning by developing staff for promotion with the company
recommend security improvements in writing once/year to GM and upper management.
review background checks and oversee annual background/credit checks of existing employees (150/year)
Be able to manage other 1-2 directs
Reports directly to General manager
TRANSPORTATION SECURITY (TSA):
Responsible for maintaining and enforcing TSA policies and procedures
Responsible for on-going training of employees in the IAC
Responsibility for maintaining the statewide IAC locations
Responsible for maintaining statewide CCSF locations
Responsible for maintaining TSA supply inventory
Conduct quarterly audits of all statewide IAC locations
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
City/County or NRA Firearms Safety Instructors license for Pistol/Revolver
Department of Commerce Security Guard or Agency License
City/County Firearms License to carry a non-concealed firearm
Hawaii Drivers License
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous Security experience is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal contracts, leases, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write departmental reports and customer letters.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
OTHER SKILLS:
Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of MS Office products and Windows. Excellent oral and verbal communications skills. Must be able to obtain state issued Security Guard license and weapons permit.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
