Five-Star is looking to fill this position with an Audio/Visual technician who is looking to take the next step in their career and take on a leadership role within our organization. 3 years of HANDS-ON Technical Audio/Visual Live Event experience required, 5 years experience preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall management of the hospitality event services department in accordance with established company policy and procedures. Guarantee the maximum in client service, operation efficiency, employee development, and profitability levels.

Director of Event Production Responsibilities:

-Provide outstanding customer service

-Effectively oversee day to day operating procedures

-Effectively manage the sub-rental of equipment to ensure client satisfaction and office profitability is met

-Manage onsite inventory according to company standards including utilization, maintenance and repair

-Effectively utilize Trace System

-Continually capture 95% of Hotel business

-Maximize revenue potential utilizing company sales strategies

-Actively Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with Hotel account

-Maintain positive employee relations

-Continually develop employees assigned to the department

-Maintain adequate staffing levels

-Conduct timely team member reviews

-Address employee concerns

-Effectively utilize the companys business software

-Ensure client and Hotel account billing is completed accurately and on-time

Qualifications:

-Demonstrated leadership ability - Able to achieve desired results through others

-Planning skills - Able to effectively plan ahead

-Organization skill - Ability to manage multiple projects

-Problem analysis - Ability to breakdown problems and find solutions

-Strong team player orientation

-Strong customer focus

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-Strong negotiations skills

Education/Experience Required:

-High School Diploma or GED Required (Bachelors Degree is preferred)

-Three years experience in the Hospitality Event Services Industry

-Advanced Knowledge and experience with audio and visual production

-Exceptional customer service or hospitality experience required

-Valid drivers license and a clean driving record are required to operate Company vehicle

-Certification in audiovisual technology or related courses (preferred)

Work Environment:

-This position requires the ability to consistently lift up to 75lbs

-This position requires the ability to work long hours on your feet

-This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule

-This position requires the applicant be authorized to work in the United States

-This position requires the applicant to be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws/regulations
