Position Summary
The Armored Courier Trainer reports to the Armor/Courier Operations Manager and may receive additional directions from the Armored Courier Lead. The Armored Courier Trainer is responsible for training new Armored Courier staff and assists in conducting weekly meetings/training to meet the Armored Courier expectations and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides training of new staff, retraining of existing staff and update procedures as needed to support to the Armored Courier expectations and goals. Keeps the Operations Manager and Armored Courier Lead informed of the status of operations at all times.
2. Is knowledgeable in Company and Departmental policies and procedures. Assists the Operations Manager to identify trends to drive measurable and sustainable improvements within the department. Continuously evaluates the department’s operational performance and makes recommendations for process improvements.
3. Ensures and enforces compliance with all Company and Department policies and procedures as well as relevant contractor or governmental rules and regulations.
4. Makes sure all team members are trained and provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. At minimum, assists manager and leads with evaluating employees on their performance and areas needing improvement, concerns and strengths by their 6-month and annual anniversary dates or sooner.
6. Monitors employee performance, reviews and recommends any corrective measures through coaching and disciplinary actions. Reviews, trains, coaches and guides direct reports to follow through with any performance objectives to ensure that all department employees are performing their duties to the best of their abilities and are achieving their fullest potential.
7. Identifies training and development needs of department employees and proactively seeks resources to facilitate their growth and development.
8. Assists and supports all other departments as needed.
9. Understands and ensures compliance with the following policies and procedures by all department employees:

10. Complies with all Federal, State and local laws as applicable to the scope of duties and responsibilities.
11. Maintains good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times and while in uniform, ensures uniform is clean and wrinkle free.
12. Performs all duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Good at problem solving and analytical thinking
Strong math skills preferred
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a Hawaii State Driver License and an acceptable traffic abstract
Must be a U.S. citizen to qualify and pass the Firearms licensing requirements and testing in the State of Hawaii.
Security, Military or Firearms experience preferred.
Be registered or in the process of registering with DCCA to obtain a State of Hawaii-Guard card (Company able to assist with Guard Card training)
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT MedCard
Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook), Windows, and the use of the internet.
Highly flexible and able to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.
Must be able to pass a drug test, criminal and credit background check.
Experience
1 year of supervisory/training experience or equivalent.
Work Hours
Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Able to work overtime as assigned.
