Position Summary:
Courier Lead supports the Operations Supervisor to ensure the overall the key daily operational and financial deliverables are met. Effective management of staffing, training and coaching of assigned employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, tactical direction, assistance, support, and instruction to all employees assigned.
Maintain control and guidance to ensure operations remain efficient, effective and performs at a high level.
Assists with dispatching and route schedules as needed.
Assists with daily reporting (gathering and disseminating on a timely basis)
Provides coaching and counseling when needed.
Work with supervisor to identify improvement opportunities as part of mentoring and coaching and work with the individuals to create an improvement path.
Understand and structure decision process to support departmental financial goals.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement at the departmental and organizational level.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Minimum one year supervisory experience or work related experience
Other Skills:
Very strong problem solving skills
Experienced in MS Office products and Windows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates superior customer relations skills
Keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines
High degree of accuracy
Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be flexible and able to maintain a positive mental attitude at all times.
Able to be a highly effective team player and must demonstrate strong work ethic.
Able to take initiative and manage the team on a daily basis
Demonstrates effective procedural knowledge, time management and communication skills.
Work Days and Hours:
Non - Exempt position
Must be available Monday - Sunday 3:00am-12:00pm. Schedule is based on business needs
Must be able to maintains excellent attendance
Required License or Certification:
Must have a Hawaii Driver's License with an acceptable driving abstract
Able to obtain and maintain a DOT MedCard
