Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. has an immediate opening for a qualified Mechanic Technician. We are looking for career minded individuals to join our company and help us today and grow with us in the future. This position pays a salary of $50K/yr. to $55K/yr. + depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Perform diagnoses, both major and minor repairs on tractor/trailer, heavy/medium and light duty trucks and box trucks.

Experience working on diesel and gasoline engine(s), transmission, brake system, air system, fuel system, electrical system, A/C system, suspension, clutch, cab, wheels, tires, axles, fifth wheel, drive train, frame, vacuum system, high-pressure water system, and hydraulic system.

Perform State and Federal (DOT) inspections on tractors, trailers, heavy / medium and light duty trucks, including box trucks.

Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections.

Maintain and perform accurate repair, preventative maintenance, and inspection records via shop management system.

Perform occasional road service.

Provide an estimate of man hours and job completion hours.

Maintain shop schedule.

Order parts and materials and maintain accurate inventory via shop management software.

Use schematics, technical information, and diagnostic tools to assist in repairs and power industrial equipment.

Experience in stick welding.

Attend manufacturer training and continuing education courses if necessary.

Ability to communicate orally and through writing

Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to travel up to 50% or more to neighbor islands.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2+ years experience in heavy tractor / trailer maintenance and repair.

Minimum of 2+ years experience in dealing with parts and service vendors and maintaining vehicle maintenance records.

Must possess a current CDL class A or B license.

High school diploma or GED

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Basic computer skills.

ASE certification a plus.

Experience in welding/fabricating experience

Must have own mechanical tools.
